Diskorse reimagines online discussion around structured, fair debate. DELLIUX designed and built the platform end to end — from its flagship Debate Arena to community moderation and search.
The challenge
Online debate is usually a chaotic comment thread where the loudest voice wins. Diskorse needed a format that made argument structured and fair: invited participants, timed argument and voting phases, and a clear, community-decided winner — without the whole thing feeling like a courtroom.
What we built
We built the product around a distinctive, multi-phase debate format:
- The Debate Arena — a phased contest (arguments open → voting open → winner) with live state banners and countdowns
- Participant cards with roles and a highlighted, community-voted winner
- Per-argument voting and a rich feed of debates, follows and invite-only contests
- A guided create-debate wizard: topic → time limits → invitations
- Rooms, threads and categories, plus a full admin moderation console for debates, polls and reports
- Algolia-powered instant search across the community
The stack
A Next.js, React and TypeScript front end talks to a separate Node/Express API, with Tailwind, DaisyUI and MUI for the interface, TipTap rich-text editing, Algolia InstantSearch and Google sign-in.
The outcome
A genuinely novel product: structured debates that stay civil and end with a clear result. The phased arena, moderation tooling and search give the community room to grow while keeping quality high.
